Atlanta Hawks decided on Thursday to cut Amir Johnson’s contract from three years to two years, and it’s fair to wonder why they did it. There are a lot of reasons why Johnson may or may not be a good fit for the Hawks, but one of them is not why you’d cut him: He’s a good player in the second unit.
